The short version

Snapworthy works without an account. We don't know who you are, we don't sell data, and we only handle what's needed to price your scans.

What we process

• Photos you scan. Sent to our server and to Anthropic's Claude API to identify the item. Per Anthropic's API terms, photos are not used to train their models. Scan photos are stored so your results and share links keep working.
• Scan results. The identification, value range, and marketplace listings behind each estimate are stored with the scan.
• An anonymous identifier. A random ID (no name, no email) ties your scans together for history and rate limiting.
• Usage analytics. Anonymous events (e.g. "scan completed") via PostHog, used to improve the app.

What we don't do

• No accounts, names, emails, or contacts are collected.
• No selling or renting data — to anyone, ever.
• No tracking across other apps or websites.
• No eBay user data — market listings shown are public information.

Sharing

If you share a scan, its public page (photo, item, value range) is visible to anyone with the link. Don't share what you'd rather keep private.
