What's a PlayStation 5 really worth?
From scalper gold to steady-state: the PS5's used market has matured.
The PS5 spent its first two years as the most scalped product in memory; today it's a normal, liquid used-electronics market with clear tiers: disc edition above digital, slim models mixing with launch units, and a busy parts market underneath for controllers and covers.
The honest checklist for used units is short: does it read discs quietly, has the ownership been signed out, and is the controller's drift status stated? Listings that answer all three sell fastest.

- Controller condition (stick drift) is a stated-or-suspected tax
- Original box helps shipping confidence more than price
- Fan noise and disc-drive behavior are the buyer questions
